Bonsai... Where in Holland?

The Garden Centers in Holland are over-run with commercially produced so-called bonsai's.
They are mostly Zelkova's, which look good in the garden center but are usually badly in need of feeding and re-potting by the time they are sold. The average purchaser does not know how to look after them so many trees die within a few months.

Luckily we also have good Bonsai Centre's spread around the country which provide the Bonsai enthousiast with a good selection of start material, pre-bonsai and bonsai trees.
Many of them also give advice, demonstrations and give course.
They vary in size from the the large commercial centers which have thousands of trees to the "week-end bonsai center in the back-garden" run by people with other full-time jobs.

My Bonsai Map of the Netherlands gives the locations of the bonsai centers and bonsai studios that I know about.
The map gives access to the list of addresses for Bonsai in Holland.

Bonsai Clubs

The Dutch Bonsai Association / Nederlandse Bonsai Vereniging has 16 regional groups which are active throughout the year.
Each year they organise a show of their work, complete with demonstrations and competitions.
