This book is a photographic record of the entries in the 1999 Ginkgo Bonsai Award which is one of the top Bonsai Shows in Europe.

".. The large number of bonsai that were finally exhibited, the exquisite quality and the high artistic excellence, demonstrates that the level of bonsai in many European countries has almost reached that of Japan.
Comparing this event with the 1997 event, we noticed a significant improvement with each of the participants. Every bonsai artist improved their skills, this was clearly displayed in the trees."
